An exceptional estate

The château du Grand Pré offers a unique experience of living within an exceptional 10-hectare estate, located in the heart of authentic Provence.

For reasons related to the preservation of the château’s collections and the fragility of certain antique furniture and seating within the salons, children under the age of 12 are unfortunately not permitted to stay in the guest rooms.

Thanks to the passionate owners who saved this heritage treasure from oblivion, the château has benefited from a restoration according to the rules of the art to revive the 18th century in a high-end accommodation offering, typical of the French art of living.

From one room to the next, two centuries echo each other's elegance, playing with shades of soft blue and almond green. The furniture bears the hallmarks of Jacob, Heurtaut, Nogaret, and other renowned cabinetmakers. In the formal reception rooms, an 18th-century ceramic stove harmonizes its chalky hue with the pure white 17th-century ceiling. In the dining room, a few Castellet faience pieces with polychrome ochre glazes face a small marvel: a marble cooler from Tholonet, carved from the heart of Mont Sainte-Victoire. Above each door, plasterwork depicts scenes of romance or pastoral life.

A true journey through time

The gardens

The gardens of the Château du Grand-Pré have also undergone a complete renovation, allowing visitors to appreciate their terraced layout leading to a large Louis XIV-style pond. The entire garden has regained its typically Provençal elegance, combining both French and Italian formal garden styles.

Remarkable trees or recently planted trees define pathways and shaded areas: elms, chestnut trees, boxwoods, yews, Aleppo pines, poplars and oak.
