Regional Heritage Day at Château du Grand Pré in Vitrolles-en-Luberon

More than 160 members from delegations across our region — Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var and Vaucluse — gathered at Château du Grand Pré for our regional heritage day, organised this year by the Vaucluse delegation.

The Route of châteaux & gardens in Provence

Château du Grand Pré is part of the Route of Châteaux & Gardens in Provence.

For the first time since its creation, the château is now open to visitors. Located in Vitrolles-en-Luberon, Château du Grand Pré is being brought back to life through the passion and dedication of its new owners. Renowned for its sumptuous interiors adorned with exceptionally refined gypsum plasterwork panels, the château perfectly embodies the aristocratic elegance of 17th- and 18th-century Provence.

Visitors are exceptionally invited to discover the château during its restoration works — a rare privilege. These renovations will gradually restore the full splendour of both the château and its historic gardens.
